FSA's commitment to fewer rules - good news for general insurance customers
Responding to today’s announcement from the FSA on their review of the regulation of the selling of general insurance, Nick Starling, ABI’s Director of General Insurance said:
“The FSA's review of the new general insurance sales regulations is timely. Recent ABI research showed that some insurance customers are being disadvantaged by the current rules and so we welcome the FSA's commitment to look for ways of making the rules simpler and less prescriptive."
Research commissioned by the ABI showed that, overall, general insurance regulation is costing customers nearly £400million a year.
