In December 2003, Francis Townsend & Hayward Group acquired DF Carey of Maidstone. DF Carey was a well-established major broker operating from 447 Tonbridge Road, Maidstone. The acquisition became possible when well-known Maidstone businessman Fred Stratton decided to retire. Fred is currently a consultant with Francis Townsend & Hayward (Kent) Ltd.
